Privacy Policy
A short, plain-English explanation of what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site (the contact form, the estate-plan intake form, or a consultation request), we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email, phone number, preferred contact method, and a short description of your matter. We also collect basic technical information automatically from your browser via Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, browser type, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP (IPs are anonymized by GA4 before storage). This is aggregate traffic data, not personally identifying. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load analytics at all. We don't use Google Signals, advertising features, or cross-site tracking.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and (if we engage) provide legal services. Submissions are routed to our client-intake system, My Lead Pro, where new inquiries are tracked; client records live in our practice management system, Clio. We use Google Analytics data only in aggregate to understand how the site is performing and which pages are useful to visitors.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not run advertising retargeting on this site.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of vendors to operate the site and the firm:
- Microsoft Azure — hosts this website.
- My Lead Pro — client intake; receives website form submissions.
- Clio — practice management and the client portal.
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymized website traffic and engagement metrics. We do not use Google Ads or run advertising remarketing.
- Email providers — for the firm's email correspondence.
Each of these vendors has its own privacy practices, which govern any data we transmit to them.
Your choices
You can stop sharing information with us by not submitting forms or contacting us. If you'd like us to delete an inquiry you've already submitted, email jennifer@heusinkveldlaw.com and we'll do so, subject to any legal or ethical obligations requiring us to retain records.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy here.
